Fancy Dinner & Bagel Fun

Is it really Wednesday already??  I guess so!  Since I worked out last night, I didn’t have a chance to share last night’s dinner with you.  It was amazing!  My mom snagged the recipe from a local magazine.  The recipe is from a Saratoga Springs restaurant called Dine.

Sweet & spicy sausage with garlic, onions and grapes (sounds like a weird combo, but it was yummy!)003

We also had cauliflower and mashed potatoes on the side.

I loved the fresh basil on top!

This was a delicious gourmet meal.  The grapes are sweet and go perfectly with the spicy sausage.  Success!

Today

This morning my mom and I headed to the Saratoga race track for breakfast.  First, we stopped at Bruegger’s Bagels to pick up rosemary and olive oil bagels and a French vanilla coffee for me.  We made it to the track by 7:15am and watched the race horses workout from the grandstand area.  Lots of people spend a ton of money to go to the breakfast they serve at the track, but bringing your own saves money and you get the same view as the other people.  It was fun!…except when I realized I forgot my camera!  Oops!  We are planning on going again so I’ll make sure to remember next time.

I planned on taking a BodyPump class at 5:30pm tonight but I am s-o-r-e from last night’s class.  I decided to take the day off and give my body a rest today.  I wanted to go swim but the swim team takes over the pool at my gym by the afternoon.  I should have gone this morning, darn!  I have a hard time not exercising because I feel guilty, but I’m working on getting over that.  I think I’m doing alright so far :).

Troy and I have dinner plans for this evening.  Not sure what or where we are eating but it should be yummy :).  Hope everyone is having an excellent hump day!

Today’s Question:  Do you take a day off from exercising when you are sore or do you push through?

I find that if I push through I only make things worse.  Light cardio is the most I will do on days I am feelin’ sore.

Where Am I?
