Scottish Oatmeal

While rummaging around in the cabinets this morning, I stumbled across this,

Scottish Oatmeal!

001

Scottish oatmeal is ground steel cut oats.  You still get all the nutritional benefits (germ, oil, and fiber) from the oats, but with far less cooking time than traditional steel cut oats.  We’re talking 4 minutes vs. 40 minutes, yippee!

The final product = a delicious, creamy bowl of oats!

Today is another busy one starting off with a fitness dance class at my gym, a doctor’s appointment, and finally getting around to picking up these from one of my favorite stores!

Catch ya later!

Have you ever tried Scottish oatmeal?

What’s your favorite breakfast cereal?  Hot or cold?

I prefer a hot bowl of oatmeal or another type of hot cereal over cold any day!  Cold cereal keeps me full for about 20 minutes. Winking smile
