Engagement Party + Tuesday Breakfast
August 10, 2010 § 3 Comments
The engagement party I attended last night was a blast! There was a ton of delicious food, wine, champagne, mini cupcakes, good company and even some Irish dancing :-).
Let’s start with the food! The event was catered by a local catering company called Spoonful. Everything they served was local and organic, score!
There were a lot of local cheeses to choose from including feta and bleu cheese as well as hummus, onion and walnut dip and more!
Fresh veg for dipping.
Lots o’ olives + a pretty pink drink.
There were also a number of small appetizers circulating the party such as spring rolls, seared scallops on a potato cake and smoked chicken tacos with avocado. Everything was delicious!
Lucy’s parents surprised both Lucy and Rory with a small performance of Irish dancers to celebrate their engagement in Ireland. Everybody got in on the fun with a traditional Irish dance taught by the performers. It was a blast!
The happy couple!
Troy and I. Please excuse my super shiny face. I was sweaty after all the dancin’!
What a fun night! Congrats Rory and Lucy!
I got home late last night but I still managed to get up bright and early :). It’s pretty humid outside so I knew hot oats wouldn’t cut it today. I decided on a refreshing yogurt bowl.
In the mix:
- 1 cup Stonyfield vanilla
- 1/4 cup Kashi island vanilla
- 1/2 cup Newman’s Own cinnamon fiber flakes
- 1 Tbsp. sliced almonds
- 1/2 banana
Outdoor yogurt bowl.
I’m off to make myself a cup of coffee. I have a busy couple of days ahead! Happy Tuesday :-D.
